When Bedford School was in need of a utility vehicle to help with tasks around its various buildings and extensive grounds, Bradshaw’s electric Goupil G4 fitted the bill perfectly
Small, economical and easy to use, the vehicle was of a similar size to its predecessor on site and, therefore, ideal for manoeuvring around the public school’s estate which caters for 1,100 boys, including more than 200 boarders.
Chris Ansell, Head of Security and Transport at Bedford School, said it was the first time the school had invested in a Bradshaw vehicle, but since the purchase, the vehicle had proven its worth around the estate and the various boarding houses.
He said: “We were offered a tour of Bradshaw’s factory and during our visit looked at various models within the Bradshaw range, but the pick-up was the most ideal. The choice of a lead acid battery also suited our needs as we knew it would require low maintenance.”
Chris continued, “since its arrival, it has consistently proven its worth. “We were looking for something with low maintenance and the G4 pick-up is ideal. There is very little downtime as it only needs charging twice a week on average and this is something we are able to do overnight.”
He added: “The after-sales service from Bradshaw has also been good – they recently sent an engineer out to give us a tutorial on water battery filling.
“All in all, it’s been a great experience.”
