The University of Leicester targets environmental sustainability with new Goupil G4's

The University of Leicester was one of the first UK higher education institutions to sign the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and, the University's two new Goupil G4's will help achieve their sustainability targets and at the same time meet their operational requirements.

The University's new Goupil G4-03 and G4-06 electric road vehicles replace their diesel and petrol vans to deliver food, post, stores and collect waste from around the campus.

With 221 acres of land across five sites, including hospital and residential areas, the Goupil G4's are ideally suited to perform their duties between locations. Road legal and entirely electric the G4's emit zero emissions, making them an environmental, economical and productive solution for university campuses.

The Goupil G4-06, a box van, is being used to assist with the University's catering and event functions. The lightweight box van body with an aluminium frame, dry freight panels and interior shelving offers a generous 3.0m3 capacity. It includes an anti-slip floor ensuring the universities food and equipment stay in place during transit.

The G4-03 Cage Body is a proven workhorse for waste collection; its compact dimensions allow access to restricted and confined spaces on campus, and the 2.9m3 cage offers an impressive 1217kg payload.
