The University of Warwick use a fleet of Goupil's to support their net-zero carbon targets

The University of Warwick’s 100% electric Goupil fleet supports its net-zero 2030 goal, offering sustainable transport, waste collection, and high-pressure cleaning across its green campus.

The University of Warwick has a fleet of four Goupil road vehicles, one G4-03, two G4-07’s and a G5-07. The latter two models with an integral 200-litre pressure washer and a cage body.

As one of the UK’s leading universities, The University of Warwick declares environmental sustainability as one of its core values, aiming to be a leader in sustainable education and an example of sustainable living.

Committed to lowering its carbon emissions, Provost Christine Ennew said, “We have a responsibility as a community and an organisation to help combat climate change through our individual actions, our research and teaching, and how we run and develop our university.”

The University’s Strategy 2030 includes a clear commitment to developing sustainable transport, energy, and a green campus to reach net-zero carbon from direct emissions by 2030.

The new Goupil’s will go a long way to help the University to achieve their goal, being 100% electric, the three Goupil G4’s and G5 offer a sustainable and environmental alternative to petrol and diesel vehicles.

The main Warwick campus occupies 710 acres (2.88 km2), and the road-legal Goupil’s provide quiet and comfortable travel between campuses to complete their daily duties without any vehicle emissions.

The University specified the models to include cage bodies for waste collection and an integral 200-litre high-pressure washer for three of the vehicles. The high-pressure unit is equipped with a two-position lance for high and low-pressure cleaning and a 15-metre flexible hose with automatic-self-wind. Delivering a maximum 130 bar and 7 litres of water per minute the pressure washer provides excellent cleaning abilities to awkward areas and cleaning bins, road signs, street furniture and pavements.
