The decision to invest into the T200 was prompted by the need for a like-for-like replacement for its previous T200 which could seamlessly integrate into NFTS's production environment, while helping to drive operational efficiency around its indoor Beaconsfield Studios facilities.
NFTS operates in a similar fashion to a major studio, with state-of-the-art production facilities that are essential for creating outstanding content for film, TV, games, animation, design.
The 3-wheel tow tractor will predominantly be tasked with transporting ‘flats’ from carpentry to NFTS’s production facilities, as well as moving props and equipment around the school’s site.
Offering an ideal solution for towing or carrying heavy loads in confined spaces, such as in narrow corridors or on packed stage sets, Bradshaw’s T200 features a short wheelbase and narrow width that allows for seamless manoeuvrability into tight corners which other powered vehicles would struggle to reach.
It also boasts a generous payload capacity of 635kg and has the capability to tow loads of up to two tonnes. The T200 operates on a choice of 36v 185Ah lead acid or a 36v 154Ah gel maintenance free battery and offers easy charging at any 240v mains socket.
With there being a greater onus on business and organisations to ensure the safety of their staff when they are undertaking material handling tasks, the T200 helps to remove the manual aspect of any handling operation – ultimately reducing risk to staff or damage to items.
Sue Osborn, Estate and Factifies Manager at the National Film & Television School commented: “Having previously had a relationship with Bradshaw, the decision to opt for the T200 to replace our current model was a natural choice. The previous model’s reliable performance and seamless integration into our workflow meant that we needed a vehicle that would provide the same level of operational output.
“With many items for our production facilities and stages being awkwardly shaped, heavy, and often difficult to move in sometimes confined spaces, the requirement for a robust vehicle that provides a safe, secure and reliable solution for towing and material handling operations is vital for NFTS and our staff.
“To facilitate this, Bradshaw recommended their T200 model which has met all of our needs and more. It’s easy to use, reliable and helps to enhance safety in the manual handling process in and around our facilities.”
