Club Car delivers state-of-the-art fleet
to the iconic St Andrews Links
St Andrews, renowned as the world’s oldest golf venue with nearly 600 years of history, has renewed its longstanding partnership with Club Car, the leading manufacturer of golf cars, low-speed utility vehicles, and personal transportation. The partnership will introduce a brand-new fleet of Club Car golf and utility vehicles across its seven public courses, including the iconic Old Course, which has hosted the Open Championship 30 times.
“We pride ourselves on working with the very best,” said Danny Campbell, Commercial Director for St Andrews Links. “Since Club Car became an official supplier in 2016, they have provided the highest quality of vehicles and service support.”
“The cars are a crucial part of our operation, allowing our teams to work efficiently and giving golfers an enjoyable and memorable experience,” Campbell added.
The new Club Car fleet, featuring both golf and utility vehicles, offers numerous advantages to the St Andrews Links team. The award-winning golf buggies provide safe and comfortable transportation for players throughout the course. The versatile utility vehicles serve as essential tools for course rangers and media staff, often transporting equipment and VIP guests for filming.
Club Car’s fleet also includes 6- and 8-seat transporter models that conveniently shuttle golfers between the Links Clubhouse, Old Pavilion, and the Old Course’s first tee.
In the pursuit of delivering an exceptional golfing experience, each car in the fleet is equipped with Club Car’s Connected technology enabling the St Andrews Links team to monitor the condition of the fleet efficiently, maintain course boundaries effectively, and communicate directly with the vehicles.
“Club Car is proud of the strong relationship we have with the St Andrews Links team, which supports the largest public golf complex in Europe,” said Andy Bourke, Club Car Regional Manager for the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia. “Over the last eight years, it has been a pleasure to provide first-class service, our unmatched products and technology to help them deliver a unique and memorable experience to thousands of golfers each year.”
Established in 1974, St Andrews Links Trust manages and maintains seven Links courses – the Old Course, New Course, Jubilee Course, Eden Course, Strathtyrum Course, Balgove Course and The Castle Course. The courses witness over 230,000 rounds of golf played on them annually.
Club Car supplies many of the world’s leading golf courses with its wide range of vehicles, and is an official supplier to the DP World Tour, Ryder Cup, Solheim Cup and the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA).
