Bradshaw Electric Vehicles have been at the front line of industrial electric vehicles for over 40 years.  It is a family owned and run company, that has grown to be the market leader with its unique positioning of being a manufacturer as well as a dealer.

We have an exciting opportunity available in a frontline sales role focused on developing a broad business base selling directly to end users and also working with dealers, with the aim of building the customer base whilst delivering volume, share and profit growth for Bradshaw Electric Vehicles.

Ideal candidate would have:

  • Current/recent Field based sales experience – 5years +
  • Direct sales experience, ideally capital goods equipment or logistics with a proven success record
  • Ability to conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Understanding of marketing principles and account planning processes.
  • Able to communicate convincingly both orally and in writing to all levels.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
  • Full UK Driving License

 

Ideal candidate would be based in the south of the UK, below Watford and within easy reach of the southern counties.

Duties:

  • To maximise our share of all business opportunities (new, used, rentals, aftermarket), selling within a specified geographical area to present targets agreed with the Global Head of sales
  • Work together with other departments to ensure agreed service levels are maintained and customers retained.
  • Identify and promote all business opportunities including new vehicles, short term rental, operator training, and used trucks.
  • Provide innovative strategies and tactics to secure and win profitable business.
  • Maintain relationships and further develop business opportunities with existing customers.
  • Ensure sufficient contact is made at all levels within a customer/prospect account as part of a development strategy.
  • Make regular use of product demonstrations, factory, branch, and reference site visits.
  • Attend and actively participate in all regular sales meetings.
  • Investigate customer complaints and account queries and endeavour to arrive at a satisfactory outcome.
  • Provide adequate cover and or assistance to a colleague on their territory when required.
  • To sell service maintenance contracts and other value add opportunities for the company based on the solutions required to satisfy the customer’s need(s)
  • To actively develop business in the specific patched location, including knowledge of customer future requirements and competitor information
  • Actively seek opportunities to build with key personnel in organisations.
  • Keep abreast of developments within the Materials Handling environment market.
  • To ensure accurate and timely completion of placing orders and generating quotations
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace.

  • Gross Profit
  • Competitor Renewals / New business ratio
  • Units sold / contract rented
  • Sales pipeline

 

General:-

  • To assist you in your duties you will be provided with a company car, phone and tablet / laptop.
  • You are obliged to take good care of any items provided for your use by the company.
  • Report any accidents, loss or theft as soon as possible and comply with the company’s accident reporting procedure.
  • Deal with basic routine car maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks’ before and after journeys
  • Be aware of the vehicle inspection rota for servicing and MOT and bring to the Managers attention if necessary.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all the items and ensure the interior and exterior of the vehicle is presentable.
  • Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the law.
  • Be flexible in approach to the job and be willing and able to perform other tasks outside normal duties.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Health and Safety Requirements – Ensure you are aware of and comply with the company Health and Safety Policy

Remuneration: -

  • Commission will be paid based on profit of individual sales on a sliding scale following the month of invoice.
  • Commission will be paid on any industrial rental revenue in your area.
  • Commission will be paid on service and maintenance contracts revenues for the initial contract only.
  • No capped earnings
  • You will be required to work such hours as may be required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the Job, with standard 21 days holiday plus bank holidays. 3- or 4-days holiday each year is kept back to allow for the Christmas break
